This prayer to the lineage gurus of the vidyādhara lineage, composed by Yike Lama, condenses the essential meaning of the nine vehicles of the Nyingma tradition. It encompasses supplications for the guru’s blessing and all the essential Dharma teachings from renunciation through Dzogchen, and it also serves as a concise recitation text for guidance on the Dzogchen preliminaries. The lineage disciples of Yike Lama all use it in their daily liturgy. Hor shul Khenpo Gelek Palsang Rinpoche specifically shared this teaching with Chinese disciples to establish a Dharma connection, hoping that through diligent practice they might attain in this very life the fruition of the primordial protector, Samantabhadra Buddha.
This text was transmitted by Hor shul Khenpo Gelek Palsang Rinpoche privately to Chokyi Nyima. At his request, Yuanqian translated it at Larung in 2002.
