和合才能成办事业

如今有些法师身边的人非常不错,彼此没有竞争心,一心一意只想着众生。这样,事业自然可以展开。否则,内部天天勾心斗角,久而久之,上师也会生厌烦心,对利生事业也会产生影响。

任何一位上师都有不同的事业。周围弟子若针锋相对、势如水火,不仅旁人见了不舒服,对上师自身也不利。表面上说是在护持上师,实际上若充满强烈贪心、嗔心,做任何事情都不会好。

为了上师弘法利生的事业,弟子们要同心同愿。若没有自私自利,完全是想利益众生、护持上师,所做之事自然容易圆满。

希望各位金刚道友和睦相处

金刚道友有总金刚道友、远金刚道友、近金刚道友和密金刚道友。总金刚道友是一切众生;远金刚道友是入了佛教的人;近金刚道友是入了密乘的人;密金刚道友是同一位上师摄受,或同一坛城中得灌顶的道友。

如果以密金刚道友为对境进行诽谤、损害,就会犯密乘戒。如今在同一位上师面前得受密法的人很多,如果彼此产生嫉妒心、嗔恨心、竞争心,并由此诽谤、争吵、打架,就会破戒。这就是所谓的“金刚内战”,过失非常严重。

因此,希望各位金刚道友和睦相处。真正护持法脉,不只是做外在事务,更是在关系中守护誓言、尊重和清净心。

破誓言的过患

一个师父的弟子,一边修法,一边争斗,会障碍上师的弘法事业,甚至影响上师的寿命。文中提到,有一位戒律清净、加持力很大的成就者,他的两个弟子长期矛盾激烈。上师多次调解,使他们和解;过一段时间,两人又闹矛盾。最后虽然再次和解,但因为破誓言的罪业,尊者自此以后手一直抖动不停。

这样的例子提醒我们:道友之间的失和并不是小事。它不只伤害彼此,也会伤害共同护持的事业。修行人处理关系时,需要忍耐心,也需要智慧;不能稍遇违缘、听到几句逆耳话,就立刻以情绪回应。

《和合》

于此世界各种民族之, 高低贫富智愚有无法, 一切悉应和合语交流, 若具真实和合享和乐。

修学同一法门修行者, 依止同一上师之徒众, 同一学会具信学员众, 若无和合现后皆衰败。

若仅于此和合亦不能, 空口所言信心出离心, 为利有情发菩提心等, 口诵不符岂非成妄语?

和合根本心善无谄诳, 不生嫉妒内心不怀瞋, 不速喜怒心宽目长远, 具此善二规之基石也。

闻思修的重点

佛法的核心是闻思修行。恩师反复强调,《二规教言论》《亲友书》《大圆满前行》《入行论》,以及《解脱光明》《大悲法聚》等法本和视频课,都要反反复复、一遍又一遍地学习。

修行上,五加行、观音心咒、三十五佛忏悔文都要每天坚持。尤其五加行,更要一遍又一遍地修持。

如果能长期闻思修这些功课,自己的信心、出离心、慈悲心都会越来越增长,各方面也会越来越好。因此,一定要抓住这些修行重点。

Some teachers are surrounded by people who relate very well to one another. They do not compete; they think wholeheartedly of beings. In such an environment, beneficial activity can unfold naturally. If a community is consumed by internal maneuvering, the teacher may become weary over time, and the work of benefiting others will be affected.

Every teacher has different activities. If the surrounding students oppose one another sharply and live as if in fire and water, it is uncomfortable for others to see and harmful for the teacher as well. Even if one says outwardly that one is supporting the teacher, work will not go well if the mind is filled with strong attachment and anger.

For the teacher's activity of teaching Dharma and benefiting beings, students need to share one heart and one intention. When there is no selfish agenda, and the wish is simply to benefit beings and support the teacher, the work can naturally come to completion.

Vajra companions are described in several scopes. In the broadest sense, all beings are companions. More specifically, those who have entered Buddhism are distant vajra companions; those who have entered Vajrayana are close vajra companions; and those accepted by the same teacher or initiated in the same mandala are intimate vajra companions.

To slander or harm such companions is to violate a Vajrayana commitment. Today many people receive Vajrayana teachings from the same teacher. If jealousy, anger, and competition lead them into slander, quarrels, or fighting, the commitment is broken. This is sometimes called internal vajra conflict, and its harm is very serious.

For this reason, may all vajra companions live harmoniously. Truly supporting a lineage is not only a matter of outer work; it is also the protection of commitment, respect, and a clean heart within relationships.

When disciples of one teacher practice Dharma while fighting with one another, they obstruct the teacher's activity and may even affect the teacher's life. The text recounts a teacher of pure discipline and great blessing whose two students fought intensely for a long time. The teacher reconciled them more than once, yet the conflict returned. Although they were eventually reconciled again, the harm of broken commitment was said to have left the teacher's hand shaking from then on.

Such examples remind us that discord among companions is not a small matter. It harms the people involved and the shared work they are meant to support. Practitioners need patience and wisdom in relationships. When difficulty appears or a few unpleasant words are heard, the response should not be immediate emotional retaliation.

《和合》

于此世界各种民族之, 高低贫富智愚有无法, 一切悉应和合语交流, 若具真实和合享和乐。

Among the many peoples of this world, High and low, rich and poor, learned and unlearned, All should speak and relate in harmony; With genuine harmony, peace is enjoyed.

Practitioners of the same Dharma gate, Students relying on the same teacher, Faithful members of the same community: Without harmony, present and future decline.

If even here one cannot be harmonious, Then words of faith and renunciation, Bodhicitta for the benefit of beings, Do they not become words that fail the heart?

The root of harmony is a kind mind without deceit, No jealousy arising, no anger held inside, Not quick to joy or anger, broad-minded and far-sighted: This goodness is the foundation of both systems.

Listening and practicing accordingly is an important part of the path.

Whose guidance should we listen to? The guidance of the spiritual teacher.

The heart of Dharma is study, reflection, and practice. The teacher repeatedly emphasized studying texts and video teachings such as The Two Systems, Letter to a Friend, The Words of My Perfect Teacher, The Way of the Bodhisattva, Liberating Light, and The Great Compassion Dharma Collection again and again.

In practice, one should keep up the preliminary practices, the Avalokiteshvara mantra, and the Confession to the Thirty-Five Buddhas every day. The preliminary practices, or ngondro, especially need to be practiced repeatedly.

If these practices of study, reflection, and meditation continue over the long term, faith, renunciation, and compassion will gradually increase, and many aspects of life will become steadier. Therefore the key points of practice must be held clearly.
